Floating Hardwood Floors Today
Years ago, homeowners had to rip off their ceramic flooring once they’re about to install wood flooring. This is a costly project though and with all the hassles to be through, many thinks that the sacrifice is just too much for such a comfortable flooring at their home. And thanks for the flooring industry nowadays with all the developments they applied. Instead of ripping off the ceramic tile we have already installed, now we can easily to install floating hardwood floors on it.
Most floating hardwood floors designed with tongue and groove interlocking system, or even some can be glued down. Right before we install the floating hardwood floors, the tile floor must be clean and entirely mopped. Make sure all the gaps and holes filled by patching compounds. This is intended to avoid it creaked or the floating hardwood floors to come loose in the future. And also the door needs to be trimmed in that way so it would fit the new flooring surface.
